George’s Obituary George W. Hull, 72, of Dillsburg, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. He was born March 20, 1947, in Mechanicsburg and graduated from the Mechanicsburg High School in 1965. He married his high school sweetheart Beverly D. (Windemaker) Hull in 1965 and moved to Dillsburg where they raised their family. He worked for IBM and their affiliates for 44 years where he met and made many friends. George was a big fan of the Steelers and the New York Mets and coached little league for several years. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren’s sporting events and other school activities. George was very proud of his family. He is survived in addition to his wife by four children, Tina Goff (Steve), Leigh Wertz (James), Shelley Powers (Robert) Corey Hull (Amanda); ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister, Wendy Bower. George was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Johnson, stepfather, Harry Johnson, biological father, Ralph Hull, and a grandson, Nicholas Goff. Services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 2:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Golf Course Road. A viewing will be held Saturday from 12:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alley Cat Allies, 7920 Norfolk Ave., Ste. 600, Bethesda, MD 20814.
