Mr. George Trevenna Jr. passed away September 25, 2019, at Big Sky Senior Living. He was born in Butte January 19, 1926 to George and Pearl (Craddock) Trevenna. He attended local schools, graduated from Butte High School and served his country in the Navy during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, George worked at various jobs as an electrician before starting his lifelong career with the Montana Power Company. George enjoyed the outdoors that Montana offers. He hunted, fished and snowmobiled when he wasn’t busy helping fix broken things for all. George married Carolyn Gleason on June 8, 1952 and together they had three children. George and Carolyn were active and visible members of the community, both active in their church. Carolyn passed away on December 12, 2009. George is also preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Gwen and Adele. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Linda Trevenna of Butte, Elaine and J.O. Lunney of Littleton, Colorado, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sheri Trevenna also of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren: Travis and (Holly) Matthews, Tiffany and (Brad) Cooke, Brittany and (Alex) Jarocki, Eric Trevenna and Evan Trevenna; great grandchildren: Brooke and Kate Matthews. George is also survived by his brother, Tom and (Gloria) Trevenna of Butte. Memorials in memory of George may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Smile Train or to the Yellowstone Boys Ranch.
