LEWIS, George E. Delton George Emerson Lewis, age 57 of Delton, passed away on October 9, 2019. George was born on February 27, 1962 in Hastings to William and Alice (Seeber) Lewis. George was employed as a union carpenter for over 20 years. He truly enjoyed his work and his coworkers. He loved being outdoors cutting wood, gardening and hunting. George was a kind man and enjoyed helping others. Most of all, his family was important to him and loved spending time with them all, especially his grandkids. George is survived by his wife, Lyndsay Lewis; children, Tom (Kailey) Lewis, Tony (Allie) Lewis; brother, Ken Lewis; sisters, Susan LaFountain, Virginia Walker; grandchildren, Waylon, Emerson, Luke, Stevie, and Huck. George was preceded in death by his parents; son, Nicholas Lewis; and brother, Steve Lewis. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, October 16 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Faith United Methodist Church where his funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mike McCrumb officiating.
