Gary J. Scott, 56, passed away on October 27, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. In his early years, he was a truck driver and a mechanic. Gary enjoyed playing pool for the APA League of Hudson County. He was an avid fan of the NY Giants and enjoyed spending time with his friends watching the Giants play. He was always acting goofy and loved making people laugh. Gary is survived by his caring daughters, Michele and Nicole Scott; loving grandfather to Jonathan, Evan, Liam, Haylie, and Noah; brother to Denise Julian, Donna Scott (Alberto Sanchez), John Scott (Lori), Kevin Scott, Ron Scott (Laura). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased in life by his parents, Robert J. and Bernice (Meyer) Scott; his siblings, Diane, Debra, and Ann Palmer. Visitation is Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City (For GPS navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). A prayer service will be offered during visitation. Funeral will occur Friday, November 1, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in honor of Gary’s memory to his daughters.
