Gail D. Wimbs, age 83, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at her residence. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services, and a member of Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Austin and Willie Carolyn Bedford Daniel; and two brothers, Billy Daniel and Randal Lee Daniel. She is survived by her husband, J. Hugh Wimbs of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Danny Wimbs (Tresa) of Five Points, TN; three daughters, Suzanne Dover (Steve) of Leoma, TN, Teresa Dickey (Chris) of Ethridge, TN, and Lori Walters (Chris) of Leoma, TN; nine grandchildren, Kassie Kelley, Daniel Wimbs, Lauren Wimbs McDonald, Cameron Walters, Lexi Dickey, Kristin Walters, Ali Dickey, Kara Wimbs, and Austin Wimbs; and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 02, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Bonnertown Cemetery at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 02, 2019, with Cecil Farmer officiating. Family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
