Obituary of Frederick J. Loetterle Frederick J. Loetterle, 89, of Lafayette, passed away on October 21st. He was born on February 8, 1930 to Frederick and Norma Loetterle. Fred graduated from Solvay High School and attended Syracuse University until his junior year. He operated a farm until 1955, and then went on to work for International Harvester Co. and later J.I. Case Co. as a sales rep. for 28 years, until his retirement. Fred enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a member of the Central New York Two Cylinder Club and restored John Deere tractors. He is predeceased by his wife, Caroline Landers Loetterle and his eldest son, Steven J. Loetterle Sr. He is survived by his son, John F. (Beverly) Loetterle; daughters, Cindy A. (Donald) Stroup and Christine (Donald) Knapp; grandchildren, Steven Loetterle Jr., Jason Loetterle, Jennifer Rice, Shawn Loetterle, Lindsey Stroup, Eric Stroup, Nathan Stroup, Jessica Derbyshire and Jacob Knapp; great grandchildren, Carlene Knapp, Isaac Knapp, Emma Knapp, Paige Rice, Logan Rice, Isabell Loetterle, Zoe Loetterle, Sterling Derbyshire, Edison Derbyshire, Sydney Loetterle and sister Barbara Siebenaller of Michigan. Calling hours will be Friday, October 25th from 10AM to 11AM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, Lafayette, NY 13084. Services will follow immediately at 11AM.
