Frank’s Obituary Frank Matthew Schetter, 86, of Warminster, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Souderton Mennonite Homes. He was the loving husband of Miriam E. (Brown) Schetter for 63 years. Frank was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Anthony Schetter and the late Helen (Schaffroth) Schetter. He graduated from Northeast High School in Philadelphia, PA, class of 1950. Frank served as an aviation mechanic in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a patternmaker for the former Budd Company in Philadelphia for 33 years. After retiring, Frank started a family owned business “FMS Builders, Inc” in Warminster that specialized in all faucets of the construction industry. He was a longtime attendee of the Vereinigung Erzgebirge Social Club in Warminster. Frank was a former member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hatboro. He loved spending time with his family and taking annual trips to the New Jersey shore. Frank enjoyed building models (airplanes & boats), dollhouses for his granddaughters, log cabins for his grandsons, and a model train set that was based off the Warminster area. He was an avid reader of War Books and he enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing, golfing, and watching the Philadelphia Phillies. At the end of the day, Frank enjoyed a glass of Budweiser in his garage with family and friends. He was a true handyman who always had a project going on. Frank was a very detailed oriented man who was meticulous about the finer points. He was a compassionate and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Frank was a hardworking, pleasant man who was a perfect gentleman and had a good sense of humor. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Stacy A. Schoenhofer of Souderton, PA, Laurie A. Thomas & husband, Stephen of Silverdale, PA; his son, Scott A. Schetter & wife, Michelle of Sellersville, PA; his six grandchildren – Melissa, Evan, Brittany, Michael, Kirsten, & Kyle; his six great-grandchildren – Brynley, Briella, Brody, Ve, Emma, & Noah; and his Sister, Elsie Holly & husband, Richard of Doylestown, PA. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm. A future inurnment will take place in Spring 2020 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
