Fragolina Altieri, 94 of Aliquippa passed away peacefully October 1, 2019 with her daughters by her side. She was born February 14, 1925 in Pacentro, Italy and was the daughter of the late Francesco and Anna (Rubino) Battaglini. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaetano Altieri, a son-in-law: Vince Lacenere and four brothers: Guy, Patsy, Guiseppi and Chester. Fragolina was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, Aliquippa and the St. Anthony Congregation, West Aliquippa. She is survived by three loving daughters and a son-in-law: Antoinette Lacenere, Maria Gordon and Anna and Leo Karachristos, six grandchildren: David and Anita Lacenere, Danielle Columbe and Fiancé Matt Sestra, Zachary and Kim Gordon, Chole Gordon, Bill and Sarah Karachristos and Carissa Karachristos, six great grandchildren: Mia, Isabella, Kristina, Sofia, Charlie and Leo. Fragolina is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa 15001 (724) 375-0496. Departing prayers will begin Friday at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am in St. Titus Church. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Altieri family extends their sincere gratitude to Beaver Health and Rehabilitation Center and Gateway Hospice for the kind and compassionate care that was given to Fragolina.
