Florence’s Obituary SHERLOCK, Florence Ann (Metro) – of Flint, MI, age 80, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Bob Beckelic officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until time of service on Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Newsboys of Flint. Florence was born in Flint, MI on June 24, 1939, raised by grandmother, Mary Burene. She married Val Sherlock on November 4, 1961 and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2019. Florence retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of service. She loved spending time with her family. Florence is survived by her son, Val (Tracey) Sherlock, Jr.; 2 grandchildren, Cassidy and Benjamin Sherlock; brother-in-law, Benjamin Sherlock; 3 nieces; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Octavian and Virginia Metro; brothers, Anthony, John and Victor Metro and sister-in-law, Peggy Sherlock; grandmother, Mary Burene.
