Evelyn Geraldine Fontaine, age 89 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Evelyn was a loving mother and grandmother. A great protector, she was compassionate and focused on the family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Willie Jones; and a great-great-grandchild, Joseph Ray Johnson. She is survived by her children, George Vardaman, Ricky (Diane) Fontaine, Debbie (Dennis) Biggs, and Robert (Rebecca) Fontaine; grandchildren, Jennifer Vardaman Lawman, Jordan Fontaine, Bobby Fontaine, Crystal Tavano, and Kristina Johnson; great-grandchildren, Victoria Owen, Kaden Fontaine, Sahara M. Johnson, and Shiloh Johnson; great-great-grandchildren, Atticus Owen, and anticipated soon, Harlow Owen. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Friday from 10:00am until her Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville with Pastor Bruce Raley officiating. Interment will follow in Beech Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are George Vardaman, Ricky Fontaine, Robert Fontaine, Bobby Fontaine, and Dennis Biggs.
