Elizabeth’s Obituary Elizabeth (Bettye) Grace Eccher went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 27th. She was born February 8, 1925 in Topeka Kansas to Ray and Helen Thompson. She spent her formative years in Washington Kansas. In her 20’s she became a radio transmitter inspector for the US Government in Kansas City, MO where she met Richard (Dick) Anthony Eccher. The two were married on August 3, 1946. They had 5 children, four of whom were born in Kansas City and one in Seattle. In 1963 Richard began work at the Boeing Company and Bettye helped support the family by waitressing, home sales and working 5 years as a page mom in Olympia. Her true passion besides her family was bowling in single and team leagues where she made lifelong friends. She continued to score high games into her mid 80’s. At the age of 89 she moved to Kennydale Golden Age in Renton. We are eternally grateful for the people who lovingly cared for her in her last 5 years of life. She is proceeded in death by her husband Richard Anthony Eccher. She is survived by her 5 children, Michelle (George) Reynolds, Marcie Howard Kitchens, Rick (Sandy) Eccher, Melissa (John) Jungers, Marta (Bill) Osborne.
