Elick’s Obituary Elick Hoover Sr. 74 of Shelby passed away on October 14, 2019 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Born on July 15, 1945 in Jamestown, Tennessee to Daily(Lilly Spurling) Hoover. Elick was a heavy equipment operator in the mills. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, gardening, and loved being outdoors. He was married to Bobette Hesh who survives, also surviving are children; Elick Jr, Jamie Sr, Louann Hoover, Samantha(August) Hough, Jennifer(Dennis) Hoover, brothers; Bow and Doc, as well as 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and first wife; Peggy L. Hoover. Elick was preceded in death by his parents; daughter in law; Amanda, siblings; Ernest, Dave, Jue and Kenneth. A visitation for Elick will be held on Friday October 18, 2019 from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM in the Frazier Funeral Home Chapel of DeMotte, with Chaplain Lynn Gordon officiating, burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family care of the funeral home. Read More
