Dwight’s Obituary Mr. Dwight L Day, 67, of Gulfport, Mississippi departed this life, Thursday, October 10, 2019. Mr. Day was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was a member of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church- Gulfport. Mr. Day served as an Usher and was a member of the church’s Brotherhood ministry. He worked for Goldin Industries for many years as a supervisor. Mr. Day was a one of a kind man. He enjoyed fishing and sitting out on the pier. Like any southern gentleman, Mr. Day has a palate for eating good food! When he wasn’t fishing or enjoying great cuisine, he could be found watching sports and being outdoors. His favorite NBA team was the San Antonio Spurs. Mr. Day was simply a good God-Fearing man, who never met a stranger. His family is saddened by his departure, but are forever grateful for the time they were blessed to share with him. He is preceded in death by both parents, Mr. Edgar Day and Mrs. Pearline McKay Day; a brother, Edward Day, Sr.; a sister, Geraldine Sallis; and one grandson, Niccolas Day. Mr. Day leaves to cherish his memory, his beautiful spouse, Mrs. Debra Day-Gulfport, Mississippi, two daughters, Miranda (Milton McKay) Day- Gulfport, Mississippi, Robyn Day- Ridgeland, Mississippi; one grandson, Cameron Day-Gulfport, Mississippi; a goddaughter, Ramonica Plishett- Mobile, Alabama; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
