Donald “Don”‘s Obituary Donald Wayne “Don” Barnett, age 76, of Smyrna, TN, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. A native of Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late William and Elsie Irene Wright Barnett. Mr. Barnette was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Dale Barnett and a sister, Barbara Faye Barnett. Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife, Katherine “Kay” Garnier Barnett; son, Larry S. Barnett of Smyrna, TN; daughter, Donna Kay Barnett Parker and her husband Terry of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Crystal LeAnna Parker, Joseph Michael, Parker, and Gabrielle Cheyann Barnett; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Barnett was a member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church, a US Air Force veteran, and retired from Metro Police Department.
