CAPE CORAL, FL – Donald A. Harmon, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Fort Myers, Florida. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred N. Harmon of Mohawk, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 58 years, Alice Marie (Fields) Harmon. Donald was born and raised in Southern Indiana. He was a member of UAW Local 98 at Navistar for 38 years. He is survived by five children, Sandra K. Koepke, Donald L. Harmon, Douglas N. (Yvonne) Harmon, Janet M. Stough, and David W. Harmon. There are 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Left behind are many friends including friends he called his Florida family. Donald was a member of Calvary Bible Methodist Church. His hobbies included vacationing in the Western U.S., building and racing cars, and living part-time in Florida. He will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Bible Methodist Church, 4465 N. Fortville Pike, Greenfield, IN 46140. Reverend Terry Going will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary and church.
