Obituary of Dennis W. Dempsey Dennis W. Dempsey, 82, of Calhoun, Missouri passed away early Tuesday morning, October 29, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1937 in Osceola, MO, the son of Ferrel Russell Dempsey and Rose Irene (Keltner) Dempsey. He married Mary Gregory on November 9, 1961 in Warrensburg, MO. She survives of the home. Dennis was a handyman and jack of all trades. In addition to his wife, surviving are, two sons, Dennis Eugene Dempsey, Calhoun, MO, and Brian Keith Dempsey, Grand Island, Nebraska; five daughters, Valerie Dorene Billingsly and husband John, Texas, Laura Renetta Clemons and husband Joe, Garland, MO, Melissa Irene Bilyeu, Holden, MO, Cynthia Rae Decker and husband Dale, Calhoun, MO and Melinda Marleen Bradley and husband Jason, Leeton, MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Curtis Dempsey, Kingsville, MO, Doug Dempsey, Pleasant Hill, MO and Lynn Dempsey, Centerview, MO; three sisters, Carol Jean, Missouri, Dorothy Street, Centerview, MO and Judy Stephens, Centerview, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Harvey Dempsey and Claude Dempsey. Mr. Dempsey will be cremated under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. No services are scheduled at this time.
