Debra L. Salas, 53, of Forked River, NJ passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2019. She was born and raised in Toms River and has been a life-long resident of Ocean County. She was employed with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey for many years. Debra enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her cherished grandson. Mrs. Salas is predeceased by her father Eugene Grooms. Surviving is her husband of 26 years Rich Salas; her two children Carly Evangelista and her husband Brian and Karissa Salas; Her grandson Blake; her mother Patricia Grooms; her sisters Michelle Kennedy, Kathy Mergner and her husband Greg and Sharon Morris and her husband Greg; Also surviving are many extended family members and friends. A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 5pm – 7pm at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd Bayville, NJ 08721. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debra’s memory made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org would be greatly appreciated.
