Dale’s Obituary Dale Lovell, age 88, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019, in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Dale Lovell was born December 22, 1930 in Columbus to Charles and Floy (Aringdale) Lovell. He attended Columbus Public Schools. Dale married Roberta Schultz on May 13, 1950. Together they raise 10 children. Dale worked as a horseman for professional horse racing circuit and as a mill right. He also worked for the Columbus street department until starting his own roofing business, Dale’s Roofing. His business was voted “Best of Columbus” for the past several years. Dale was a Golden member of the Eagle’s Club and the Columbus Church of Christ. He was an avid Husker Fan and loved celebrating with his family anytime he could.
