Coleman Day was born January 13, 1924 entered eternal life Friday, October 18, 2019 at home. He was the son of George (Poppy) and Polly Callahan Day of Kingscreek. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 71 years Daisy Frazier Day and one son Jerry L. Day. Surviving are his two daughters: Joanne Day Schumake (Ron) of Fairland, Indiana, and Sherry L. Wright (Alvin) of Big Cowan, and one daughter in law Sheryl L. Day. Along with 6 grandchildren: Rachel (Travis) Mays, Sherri Rene Day (Rocco), Coleman Joel Wright (C.Q.), Jerry L. Day II, Ali Day (Caanan), Whitley Day (Jessica); 10 great grandchildren: Leeha, Megan, Logan, Lexi, Ramsey, Ryder, Gunner, Piper, Phoneix, Maci Jo; 1 great-great grandchild: Olivia Grace. Also surviving are 3 brothers: Dauphus Wood Day of Cowan, Jack Day and Donald Wayne Day of Indiana; 2 sisters: Margaret Stamper and Regina Logan of Kingscreek along with a host of loving nieces and nephews. Coleman was baptized into the Big Cowan Regular Baptist Church June 28, 2019, He was a World War II Veteran and lifetime member of the DAV and American Legion.
