Obituary for Clara Hogan Adams JAVA, Clara Ann Hogan Adams, of Java, went to rest in peace on October 31, 2019. She was born March 16, 1932 to the late William Jett Hogan and Claire Elizabeth “Pete” Hogan. She was predeceased by her husband Edsel Adams and her daughter Lois Ann Adams Byrd; son-in-law Roy P. Byrd Jr.; brother Stafford Hogan; and sister Hazel Cross. She is survived by her son, Dannie Adams; and daughter, Amie Blanks (Jimmy), both of Riceville; and sister, Merle Bowling (Charles); brother, Owen Hogan (Marie); sister, Alma Gammon (Ron); grandchildren Mary Ann Martin (Scott), Aaron Byrd (Sarah), Daniel Adams (Kimberly-Saunders), and Kimberly Adams; great-grandchildren, Luc and Tad Byrd, Lily Claire Martin, Aiden, Faith, and Hope Adams, and Triston Graves. Nothing made her happier than working in her flower beds with her daughter, Lois, riding around the countryside exploring with her son, Dannie and daughter, Amie, visits from her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. As per her wishes, graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, by the Rev. Wyatt Shelton Miles, III at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Burial Park in Chatham.
