***Please see in lieu of flowers option at bottom of obituary*** Christine T. Cocchi, a lifelong Deptford resident, passed away on October 1, 2019 at the age of 63 years. Beloved daughter of the late Jack M. Cocchi and the late Elizabeth Cocchi (nee Grosso). Dear sister of Mark Cocchi of Deptford, NJ. Loving “cat mom” of her much treasured cat, Andy. She is also survived by her aunts; Maryann Niemeyer and Carmella Doerr, and her friend, companion, and caregiver, Debbie Pickering. Christine worked for many years at the Gloucester County Courthouse as a switchboard operator and assisted in the mailroom. She was a member of the Blackwood Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary since 1998. Christine was one of the first paid EMT’s through the Deptford EMS in the 1980’s. She belonged to the Deptford Ambulance Squad for twenty-two years and served as past president and secretary. Christine greatly enjoyed spending time at the Wildwood beach whenever she could. Visitation will be Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church St., Blackwood, NJ 08012, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM.
