Turner July 17, 1936 – October 04, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card On October 4, 2019, Carolyn Mae Turner (nee McIlvaine), age 83 passed away at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees. Born and raised in Alexandria, PA to Charles and Pearl McIlvaine, Carolyn lived in Magnolia before settling in Audubon, NJ in November of 1963 where she remained until her passing. After raising her children, she worked as the head teller at Peoples Bank in Westmont, NJ and then later at CVS Pharmacy in Haddon Heights. During her children’s youth, she was very active in both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts serving as Scout Leader and Den Mother respectively. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her brother, Charles McIlvaine and her sister, Marjorie Griffis. She is lovingly survived by her husband, John E. Turner; her five children, Marie E. (Emil) Nardi, Jacqueline E. (Eric) Orren, John (Melda) Turner, Christine M. (Ron) Lummis and Kathleen R. (Richard) Lynd; her eight grandchildren, Jason Mawhinney, Paul Turner, Caitlin Nitti, Nicole Turner, Kristin Orren, Kelsea Orren, Ryan Lynd and Kasey Lynd; 4 great grandchildren; her sister, Beverly Mertens of Ocoee, Florida as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Saturday morning, October 12th beginning at 9:00 AM at the Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ where Her Memorial Service will begin at 10:00 AM following the Visitation. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Jude’s or a charity of the donor’s choice.
