Carolyn’s Obituary Carolyn was born on March 2, 1960 to the union of Warren and Thersa Hardnick (Chicago, IL). Carolyn was the second born of her five siblings. Her father preceded her in death. Carolyn attended Austin High School. She worked for Bethel New Life for twenty-plus years before merging over to Chicago Commons as a Field Supervisor for senior care. She loved her job. Carolyn had three children and she loved them in her own unique way. They shared a special bond. A bond with a mother without worries or doubts. Carolyn loved life, loved to smile, shopping and fashion was her passion. She found her true love, Michael Collins, in 1996. They were married on June 20, 1998. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: Her husband, Michael Collins; mother, Thersa Hardnick; her children, Theo (Cinnomon), Jemaire (Daniel) and Jermaine; stepdaughter, Valencia; siblings, Warren (Dorthia) Hardnick, Cythia, Michael and Derrick (Twanna); grandchildren, Theo Jr., Malique, Jahiem, Brianna, Tayvon, Arianna, Jayden, Cody, Chevelle and Cameron; her grandpuppy, “Queenie”; brothers-in-law, Wayne Collins (Tania) and Mark Collins; sisters-in-law, Denise and Thersa; special friend, DeDe; and a host of nieces and nephews.
