Carolyn A. Gray Peniston, 83, of Neptune, NJ passed away in her home on August 10, 2019. She was born in Long Branch, NJ on March 6, 1936 to the late Frederick Hammond Gray and Carolyn Gray. She was a lifelong resident of Neptune, NJ, where she graduated from Neptune High School in 1954. She married Reginald H. Peniston on October 16, 1955. To this union, four children were born. Carolyn was a homemaker of many talents, which included cooking, baking, and knitting. She was also an avid reader. She enjoyed playing the piano and taking bus trips to Atlantic City. Carolyn was a communicate of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, in Asbury Park, NJ. In past years, she was an active member of the Advent Circle Church Guild. She was predeceased by her husband, Reginald H. Peniston; and her son, Michael K. Peniston. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her children, Gregory C. Peniston of Neptune, NJ, Joanne Peniston of Neptune, NJ, and Jeffrey Peniston of Freehold, NJ; daughter-in-law, Deborah Peniston of Farmingdale, NJ; sister, Paulette Wainright of Brick, NJ; brothers, Dwight W. Gray of Manchester, NJ, and Mark Gray of Asbury Park, NJ; grandchildren, Shannah Baker, Chelsey Peniston, Michael Peniston II, Victoria Peniston, and Sean Peniston; great-grandchildren, Amora Sanders, Jasmyn Sanders, and Sidney Woodside; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. favorite_border Donations Pledges  Service Program Click to download / open
