Carol B. Williams was born on November 23, 1944 in Opa Locka, Florida to Katherine Marie Paterson and Leonard Williams of Opa Locka, Florida. Carol was raised in the city of Newark, NJ with her six brothers and sisters. She attended Charlton Street Elementary School and graduate from South Side High School, which later became Malcolm X.
