Annette passed peacefully October 24, 2019 after a lifelong daily battle with Juvenile Diabetes. She was a New Years Day baby in 1962 and after just 4 short years of life was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes inherited from her paternal grandfather. Through diligence and the utmost care of her loving parents Annette overcame obstacles and reached milestones that the Doctors charged with her care didn’t expect her to reach. Her fight was daily and fought with grace and determination. After 53 years of sparring with this disease her fragile body could no longer endure the battle and the complications ultimately took her life. She is survived by her parents Everett and Carolyn Johnson of Tucker, her finest achievement…that of which she was the most proud…her son and Medal of Valor recipient Randall Lee Shelnutt, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Buchanan GA. Brother James Johnson (Vickie) Lilburn, sisters Chris Johnson of Duluth and Tracy Walker of Lilburn. She had a deeply abiding love for her cats and was one of the most cheerful associates Hallmark employed. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm Sunday October 27, 2019 at Bill Head Funeral Home Lilburn/Tucker Chapel 6101 Lawrenceville Hwy. Tucker GA. 30084 The funeral service will be Monday October 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bill Head Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Stell officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hill Memory Gardens, Tucker.
