Carlos E. Sanclemente, 79, of Pilesgrove passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Mr. Sanclemente was the son of Carlos Sanclemente and Adela C. Vives. After serving for four years in the US Air Force, he became a machinist working for and eventually retiring from DuPont. He was a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel RC Church, was a reserve officer for the Penns Grove Police Department, volunteered for several years with Liberty 1 Fire Department and was a member of the DuPont Veterans. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Jane (Costello), his son Keith and his wife Marti, six grandchildren to whom he was completely devoted, Christina, Charlie, Phillip, Drew Naomi, Sadie and Adriana as well as his nephew, Enrique Cruz and nieces Nydia Sanclemente and Lisette Guzman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Charles “Chuck” and a brother, Raymond Sanclemente. A viewing will be held on Friday morning at the Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad St., Woodstown, NJ 08098 from 9 AM until 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel, 369 Georgetown Rd., Carneys Point, NJ 08069. Interment will take place at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery.
