Brian’s Obituary Brian Matthew Joy, 43, entered the Heavenly Gates on Sunday, October 20th, 2019. Entering peacefully, and with his quiet smile, he joined his Lord in eternity. Brian was a drummer and musician, loved music, and had been part of many bands and music projects over his life. Music was his life’s passion, and he was never too busy take the time to share new music he’d heard, or to listen to something anyone wanted to share. Brian loved to share his music loudly, but in life he was anything but loud. Brian was a quiet and kind soul, whom was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He always gave everything he had to help his family and his friends, even if he didn’t have it to give. Brian’s soft brown eyes, his kind smile, his thirst for knowledge, and his insatiable desire to take care of others will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Waiting to see them in Heaven, with his older brother Jay, Brian leaves behind his father John Jackson Joy II; mother, Pasty Cogar Joy; brother, William Adam Joy; sister in-law, Jenni Lynn Joy (Hite); nephews Jacob, Asher, and Brady; and nieces Kayla and Caydence. Family will receive friends for a memorial service on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with prayers recited at 4:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
