Brady Leroy Wood September 18, 1938 – October 19, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Brady Leroy Wood, 81, of Hartshorne, died October 19, 2019 in Muskogee. Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bishop Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Blanco Cemetery with military honors provided by the Tinker Air Force Base Honor Guard. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Paxton, Gary Wood, Jerry Wood, Jr, Jerry Paxton, Clayton Rice, and Christopher Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Fonville, Cody Fonville, Dale Wood, and Marty Briggs. Brady was born to Lee and Gracie (Adams) Wood on September 18, 1938 in Pittsburg. He graduated from Pittsburg High School and joined the U.S. Navy. He served on the U.S.S. Midway during the Viet Nam War. Brady enlisted with the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1965 and retiring in 1983. He then worked at the McAlester Army Ammunition Army Plant, and retired in 2003. Brady married Shirley Ann McClintic on May 1, 1979 in Sherman, Texas. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a cattle rancher. Brady is preceded in death by his parents: Lee and Gracie Wood; brothers: Ches Wood, Pete Wood; infant brother: J.P. Wood; and a sister: Lillian Wood. He is survived by his wife: Shirley Wood of the home; sons: Michael Wood, Freddie Wood, both of Hartshorne, Jason Wood of Bloomington, Indiana; daughter: Tammy White and husband, Vince of Caney; grandchildren: Ocean, Cole, and Cody; great-grandchildren: Sophie, Trevor, Bentley, and Zoe; brother: Dave Wood of Dennison, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
