Billy J. Waterman, 87, of Beecher passed away Friday 10-18-2019 at the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno. He was born October 10, 1932 in Crete, IL the son of Martin and Hazel Waterman. Billy is survived by his son Michael (Ann) Waterman and his significant other Barb Peregoy. He has 3 grandchildren Riley, Braeden, and Samantha. He is proceeded in death by his wife Louella McDonald, and his parents. Billy retired as a mechanic at Allis Chalmers after 29 years, worked at Village of Beecher for many years, and spent 40 years at the Beecher Fire Department. He loved to bowl, doing yard work, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a Navy Veteran. Visitation will be Wednesday October 23, 2019 from 9am till the funeral service at Noon at Hack-Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher, IL. Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Reverend Tom Ewing will officiate. Pallbearers will be Joe Falaschetti, Mike Einhorn, Lynn Weir, Phil Hameister, Riley Waterman, and Braeden Waterman. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Beecher Fire Department. Hack-Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher is handling the arrangements.
