Billy’s Obituary Kinder- Funeral Services for Billy Joe Humphries, 80, will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Burial will follow at LeBlanc Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes. The family will receive visitors beginning Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 9 a.m. until time of service at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to all. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Vera, until her passing in December 2006. Billy loved fishing, hunting, cooking outside and making homemade muscadine wine. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He served our country in the United States Army for three years. Billy loved to grow his garden, especially okra and peas. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish Billy’s memory include his companion, Mona Guidry Brown, of Basile; his two sons, Robert Humphries, of Mittie and Billy D. Humphries, of LeBlanc; one brother, Donald Humphries and wife, Melanie, of Forest Hill; three sisters, Bobbie Priddy, of Vicksburg, MS, Doris Humphries, of Oakdale and Patsy Buxton and husband, Alex, of Oakdale; eight grandchildren; as well as, a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pearl Humphries; wife, Vera Humphries; one son, Hollis Humphries; and one granddaughter, Tiffany Maier. Read More
