Bertha A. Polson, 88, of Moberly, MO, died Sunday, October 20, 2019. She was born February 20, 1931 in Moberly, MO to Frank and Katie (Malaney) Hopkins. Prior to retirement Bertha worked 29 years as a meat cutter for Banquet Foods in Macon, MO. Bertha married Robert K. Polson on March 28, 1948 in Moberly, MO and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a son, James Polson, a daughter, Alice Holland and a brother Emanul Hopkins. Survivors include her children; Kenneth Polson of Columbia, Robert Polson and his wife Debbie, Vinnie Siebur all of Moberly and Daisy Brady of Cairo, MO, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Bertha was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, she was their piano player. She enjoyed played the organ, piano and the accordion. Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation, which will be Saturday, October 26, 2019, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Services honoring and celebrating Bertha’s life will follow at 12:00 p.m. Committal prayers and burial will be in the Mt. Salem Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
