Buckley “Gus” , 83 of Robbinsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2019 surrounded by his family, at the home of his niece, Barb Van Horn. Born on the family farm in Robbinsville, Gus was a longtime resident of Cookstown prior to moving to the Hamilton/Trenton area only a few months ago. A US Army veteran, he retired from the Mercer Rubber Company after many years of service. Gus was active in his Catholic faith and was devoted to the Blessed Mother and the Rosary. He loved all animals and was a friend to everyone. Son of the late Timothy and Jennie Welch Buckley, he was predeceased by his wife, Marlene Ireland Buckley and by his siblings, Joseph, Edward, Lester, Margaret, Gene and Vincent. Gus is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Franken of Robbinsville; his sister-in-law, Doris Buckley of Hamilton Square and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Saturday, October 19th at St. Gregory the Great Church. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.
