Anna Sue Gilliam, 84 of Harlan formerly of Cumberland passed away peacefully on the early morning of Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Mrs. Gilliam was born July 30, 1935 in Cumberland, KY to the late Denver Lee Gilliam and Ruth Lay Gilliam Jackson. She was a retired factory worker and member of the Black Mountain Baptist Church. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Couch; daughter, Nancy Lee Bowling; sister, Elizabeth Galloway; brothers, Joe & Bill Gilliam. She is survived by her children, Linda Richardson, Carol Sue Couch, Marcus David Couch, Robert Lee Couch, Shirley Jean Couch, Mae Ruth Couch, Bill Heffernan, Derrick and Denise; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Ella Mae Whitaker. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, (Oct. 19) at the Mountain View Cemetery in Cumberland, KY with Rev. Jim Clem and Rev. Roger Colinger officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery just prior to the service time.
