Alan L. Weeks Carmel Alan Weeks, 90, passed away October 28, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born in Carmel, June 19, 1929 the son of Erving and Marion (Collins) Weeks. Alan had been a resident of Carmel his entire life. He worked for Hoods Creamery, Newport for 40 years while raising beef cattle and pigs on his farm that he dearly loved. He enjoyed his barn cats, gardening and spending time at his camp. Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Mavis (Newcomb) Weeks; children, Dennis Weeks and his wife, Bonnie, Ronald Meservey and his wife, Patricia, Gary Meservey and his wife, Pam; grandchildren, William Cichocki and his wife, Carla, Travis Weeks, Troy Weeks and his wife Kimberly, Matt and Tyler Weeks; step-grandchildren; great grandchildren, Malcolm and Meara Weeks, Billy and Evan Cichocki, Aiden and Aaron Weeks; one brother, Laurice Weeks; two sisters, Madelyn French, Lillian Hand; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two children, Geraldine Cichocki and Arnold Weeks; a brother, Erving Weeks, Jr.; and a special aunt, Lillian “Nanny” Hudson. Special thanks to Dennis, Tyler and Matt Weeks for the care given to Alan and his farm, as well as a special thanks to Delma Dutton for her care and compassion for the family. Funeral services will be held 1 pm. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor where relatives and friends are invited to call noon until time of the service. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the service. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Carmel.
