Obituary of Ada H. Koll Ada H. Koll, 90 of LaFayette, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side, at The Cottages at Garden Grove, Cicero, NY, on October 8, 2019. She was a graduate of Blodgett Vocational High School and went on to work for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse. She is survived by daughters: Karen (Robert) Russell, and Cindy (Kevin) Carley; five grandchildren: Allyson Remon, Casey Russell (Bernadette), Serena (Johnny Schrader), Cory Russell (Maya Gelernter), Kelly (Ronnie Pawliske); and four great grandchildren, with a fifth coming March 2020; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by: her loving husband of 66 years, Herman A. Koll; a twin sister, Anna L. Hefti, of Syracuse; her parents, Francis and Harriet (Stone) Ledger; brothers: Chester, Robert, and Donald; and sisters: Mary, Betty, and Theresa. Ada was passionate at knitting and crocheting; making many hats for donation to cancer patients. She loved going to the Wellness Center (Fitness Gym) at LaFayette High School. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. While she will be truly missed by us all, she has left many memories for us to cherish. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 10, from 5 to 7 pm, at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, LaFayette. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ada’s name may be made to Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY, 5008 Brittonfield Parkway, Suite 700, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
