Obituary Yorel “Jean” Burkhalter, 81, formerly of La Junta, was called home to Glory on September 29, 2019, at Fowler Health Care Center, where she had resided the past 3 years. She was born on February 5, 1938 in Rocky, Oklahoma, to Mal R. and Ruby (Jackson) Wilburn. She attended several schools throughout Oklahoma, before moving to Tipton, OK, where she graduated from High School. In Tipton, she met the love of her life, Virley.
