William pasted away peacefully on Saturday September 14, 2019 at his home in Conway SC where he and his wife Patricia Barrett lived. He was born in Baltimore MD in 1939 to the late Mildred and William Barrett 11 and was the middle sibling to the late Mildred Bradley of Baltimore MD and his younger sister Anne Clinton of Cooperstown NY William played soccer and baseball throughout his school years and was a graduate from Franklin High School in Baltimore MD, he joined the Navy at the age of 17 and served on the U.S.S. Boston for 4 years, after his military service he worked as a owner operator truck driver for 55 years while raising his family and was a member of the teamsters. He was a talented carpenter taking on projects for family and friend leaving us with many beautiful examples of his works. William was a loving, caring and supportive father to his 9 children Joseph Barrett, Danielle Leonard, the late Robin Barrett, Lisa Ryan and her Husband Mark Ryan, William Barrett 1111, Michael Hogan, Donna Gebauer, John Hogan and Mark Hogan. He was also an incredible grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. William Barrett 111 will be laid to rest at Bourne National Cemetery Bourne, Massachusetts on Friday September 27, 2019 at 1:30pm. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday September 28, 2019 at the Knights of Columbus 375 Foundry St. (rt. 106) Easton, Mass between 6:00pm to 9:00pm
