Bridges, the son of the late Chester and Lela Mabry Bridges, was born on August 23, 1943, in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was a 1961 graduate of Risco High School. On March 27, 1964, in Malden, MO, he was united in marriage in Norma Rose. He preceded him in death on February 11, 2019. Mr. Bridges died September 2, 2019, in Creve Coeur, MO, at the age of 76 years. Survivors include 3 sons, Jeff Bridges and wife, Sandye of O’Fallon, MO, Mark Bridges and wife, Angie of Davenport, IA, Christopher Bridges and wife, Jennifer of Plainfield, IL; 1 brother, Roger Bridges and wife, Kay of O’Fallon; 10 grandchildren, Ethan Bridges of Houston, TX, Paige Bridges of Atlanta, GA, Hannah Bridges of Belleville, IL, Caleb Bridges of O’Fallon, Molly Bridges of San Francisco, CA, Alec Bridges of Des Moines, IA, Garrett Bridges, Cooper Bridges, Zachary Bridges, Lucy Bridges of Plainfield, IL; and his beloved dog, Toby and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lela Bridges; infant sister, Gloria Bridges and his wife, Norma Bridges. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019, at 1:00 P.M. at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel with Reverend James Hamlett officiating.
