Warren’s Obituary At 72 years of age, Warren passed away unexpectedly in his Saugus home on Wednesday September 18. Born and raised in Chelsea he was a son of Gertrude (Foote) Ostler and the late Donald W. Ostler. Warren attended local schools and graduated from Chelsea High School. He enlisted into the US Army in 1966 and served honorably during the Vietnam Era. He was discharged as a Private SP-4 in 1968 and returned to home to Chelsea. Shortly after his return Warren attended and was graduated from Burdette College in Boston. He married Christine A. (Coddington) in 1971 and settled in Chelsea raising their son and Christine’s daughter. He moved to Vermont with his young family where he worked supporting his family as a self-employed communication engineer. He settled for a time to Florida, returning briefly to Vermont, later to Revere and for the past 20 years Warren resided in Saugus. He was widowed 19 months ago after sharing 46 years together with his beloved wife Christine. In his lifetime Warren was an avid reader enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting and fishing and time home gardening with his wife. In addition to his wife, Warren was also predeceased by his father Donald W. Ostler and brothers Matthew and Kevin Ostler. He is survived by his beloved son Michael Ostler, his wife Sarah of Southborough and his loving mother Gertrude I. (Foote) Ostler in Saugus. He was the cherished grandfather of Rilian Ostler and Rowan Collins. Dear brother of Patricia McCarthy and her husband Vince of Nashua, NH, Charles Ostler and his wife Karen of Boynton Beach, FL, Donna Czerwinski and her husband Joseph of Malden, Maureen Tamasiunas and her husband Allan of Farmington, NH, Aileen Charles and her husband Steven of Altoona, PA, Kathleen Nolan and her husband Robert of Saugus, Lauretta Russo and her husband John of Winter Park FL. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will begin at the Welsh Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Tuesday September 24th 08:30 A.M. Followed by a funeral mass at St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway Chelsea at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Services will conclude with Warren being placed to rest together with his wife in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:45 PM.
