Obituary of Victor J. Ragusa Victor J. Ragusa, age 84, of Broadalbin, passed away Friday morning, September 20, 2019 at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville. He was born September 18, 1935 in Amsterdam, the son of the late Joseph and Victoria Raneri Ragusa. He was a graduate of Johnstown High School and Union College. Victor served his country in the US Army. Vic was employed at the former General Telephone Company, Beech-Nut Foods, Coleco Industries and Sysco Foods until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his lifelong friends in the Adirondacks. He was an avid Yankee and Giants fan. He truly enjoyed the company of others at the days end. His parting shot and his final one today would be “Goodbye Forever”. Vic is survived by two children, Amy Becker (Daren) of Sterling, VA and Gavin Ragusa of Broadalbin; a sister, Joyce Mary Taggart of Caroga Lake; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Becker, Coleman Becker and Caitlyn Fagan; as well as nephews and niece Shawn Taggart, Chris Taggart and Samantha Taggart. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jeffery R. Ragusa in 2000. Vic’s wish was to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for close friends and family. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave; Gloversville, NY 12078.(www.mountainvalleyhospice.com).
