UGO CHERACCI, M.D. age 92, passed away September 20, 2019, beloved companion of the late Geraldine Grey, brother of the late Nedda and Vanna, dearest father of Christine Hollenbeck (AJ Wood), loving grandfather of Kaitlin Buckley (Jason), Marie McGervey (Kevin), and James Hollenbeck (Brittany). Former husband of Irene Cheracci (Rozycki). Uncle, friend and family to many here and in Italy. Ugo was born in Rozmital, Czeckoslovakia and immigrated from Trieste, Italy to the United States in 1958. He received the degree of M.D. From the University of Padua, Italy and completed his residency at Marymount Hospital in Anesthesiology and received his state medical board licence in 1962. He worked at Berea Hospital. He devoted 21 years of service to Parma Community General Hospital from 1971 – 1992. In his retirement he traveled the world with his companion Geraldine. He loved fishing, hunting and the beach. Friends may call on MONDAY SEPTEMBER 30 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the BAKER, OSINSKI, KENSINGER FUNERAL HOME 206 FRONT ST. BEREA, OHIO 44017 where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donatenowheart.org. Online condolences at www.bakerfuneralberea.com.
