He was born January 13, 1936 in Edgecombe County, NC to the late Irving Ricks and Colena Glass. He leaves to cherish his memory, four sisters; Dennice Laurence of Tarboro, NC, Vivian Shepperd and Ivy Dixon both of Bowie, Maryland, Mary Carney of the home, four grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
