The family will receive friends at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 12 noon until service time. A service to honor his life will be held in the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at 2 pm with Bro. Steve McAlister and Bro. Carroll Marr officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Methodist Cemetery. Ferrel was born on December 24, 1952, to Bro. Earl Marr and Loma (Inzer) Marr. Ferrel ministered to children, youth, and adults through the ministry of music and creative arts in Natchitoches, Lafayette, Olla, Vidalia, and Campti. His greatest love was his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose (Durr) Marr; daughter, Rachel Marr; son, Joshua Marr and his wife Vivian; and a beautiful new granddaughter, Kyla Marr. Those serving as pallbearers are Jim Bryant, Dwayne Martin, David Cheatwood, Josh Waxley, Jerry Waxley, and Bobby Dale Armour.
