Thaddeus P. “Ted” Delozier, 89, of Robbinsville, NJ, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, Ted was a longtime Trenton area resident before moving to Robbinsville 30 years ago. He worked in Signal Maintenance, C&S Department, for Amtrak Railroad, retiring in 1992 after 37 years. Thaddeus honorably served his country in the US Navy from 1948 until 1953, during the time of the Korean War. He served on both the U.S.S. Meredith and the U.S.S Spokane. Ted was also a longtime member of both Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church and St. Gregory the Great RC Church, as well as being a part of the V.F.W. Post #5700, American Legion Post #458, Tin Can Sailors Association, USS Meredith Reunion Group, USS Spokane Reunion Group, a past member of Hamilton Volunteer Fire Company and Scout Master Troop #128 and an active member of the Robbinsville Senior Center for over 20 years. Predeceased by his daughter, Mary Delozier; his parents, Earl and Rose (Davis) Delozier; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Emma Delozier, Dorothy Delozier, Ethel (Joseph) Schuler, Mayme Delozier and Lucy (Peter) Barbon; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Lillian Ronan; and his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Julia Ronan and Bernice and John Zahorsky; he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia Delozier; his children and their spouses, Paul T. (Phyllis) Delozier of Mercerville, Bernice (Patrick) Graesch of Boca Raton, FL, and Joanne (Paul) Scherer of Hamilton Square; five grandchildren, Christopher (Danielle) Delozier of Sarasota, FL, CJ Delozier of Mercerville, Dennis Graesch of Davie, FL, Morgan Graesch of Boca Raton, FL, and Erin Scherer of Hamilton Square; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, 3816 East State Street Ext., Hamilton, NJ, 08619 with Monsignor Ralph Stansley. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ted’s memory to Project Freedom or Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org.
