Sharon’s Obituary Sharon Lee (McClain) Hardy, 70, of Harleysville, PA; formerly of Levittown, PA passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA. She was the loving wife of the late William “Bill” Nicholas Hardy for 40 years. Sharon was born in Frankfurt, Germany to the late William Lee McClain and the late Betty (Ritz) McClain. She graduated from Edison High School in Edison, NJ, class of 1967. Sharon graduated from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA, class of 1971, with a bachelor’s degree in business communications. She worked in the accounting department for the Cranbury Golf Club “The Bog” in Princeton Junction, NJ, then as a sales representative for the Bucks County Courier Times in Levittown, and later as a sales representative for the former The Trend Newspaper in Bucks County. Sharon loved spending time with her family especially her grandson, Josh. She also loved cooking, reading cookbooks, and watching cooking shows on TV. Sharon enjoyed flower gardening, ceramics, shopping, being outdoors, camping, and trips to Disney with her family. She was a caring, compassionate, kind woman who was always willing to help others. Sharon is survived by her two sons, William “Bill” Hardy II of Gilbertsville, PA, Kevin Lee Hardy & wife, Katie of Alburtis, PA; her grandson, Joshua William Hardy of Gilbertsville, PA; her two sisters, Sandy Dunkerson & husband, Dennis of Rigby, ID, Debbie Yazevac & husband, Jim of Pahoa, HI; and her three brothers, Craig McClain & wife, Sue of Ocala, FL, Greg McClain & wife, Kathy of Northport, ME, and Wes McClain & wife, Donna of Charlotte, NC. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, PA from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. A private inurnment will take place at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick, NJ.
