Samuel “Lam”‘s Obituary Samuel “Lam” Hawpetoss, Jr., (Megwan-Feather), age 56, of Keshena, passed away on September 24, 2019 in Keshena. Samuel was born in Milwaukee on April 8, 1963, son of the late Samuel Sr. and Frances (Matchapotow) Hawpetoss. He lived in Milwaukee until the whole family moved to the Menominee Reservation in 1976. He graduated from Marion High School in 1981. Samuel was an iron worker and a carpenter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, hunting, fishing, watching Jeopardy and was the #1 dedicated Packer fan. Samuel is survived by: his daughter, Marci (Philip Braaten) Hawpetoss; grandchildren, Chance and Ella; sisters, Becky J. Hawpetoss and Judy (Pete Shawanokasic) Hawpetoss; several nieces and nephews and a special niece Alex (Boone) Dixon-Shawanokasic. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Nina, Jerry, John, Glenn and Dale. A family service for Samuel will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home at 1:30pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019 with David Grignon officiating.
