Ronnie Wayne Renfro, age 65, of the Glenwood Community, passed away at his residence in the early morning hours of Friday, September 20, 2019 with his loving family by his side. The son of the late Rex and Pearl Peterson Renfro, he was born in Yancey County, North Carolina on December 14, 1953. A loving husband, brother and uncle, Ronnie enjoyed traveling, and for 47 years was a self-employed tractor trailer operator. He attended Marion Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 44 years, Linda Kay Renfro; one brother, Norman Ray Renfro (Yevonne); four nieces, Linda Renfro (Alan Tengler), Sheila Toney, Barbara Tipton and Rachel Bennett; and one nephew, Norman Ronald Renfro (Mary). A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Renfro will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
