Ronald’s Obituary Ronald Greenhagen, 72, died Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Alcester Care & Rehab Center in Alcester, South Dakota. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, September 11 at Peace Lutheran Church in Alcester, SD with visitation beginning at 1:00PM. Ronald Glen Greenhagen was born June 11, 1947 in Sioux Falls, SD to Lewis and Marilyn (Steward) Greenhagen. He grew up in Sioux Falls and attended Washington High School. Ronald married Linda Fickbohm on April 28, 1968 at Peace Lutheran Church in Alcester, SD. They were blessed with their daughter, Teresa in 1969. Their family moved to Alcester from Sioux Falls in 1972. Ronald worked at various locations over the years. He was Food Service Manager for 25 years at the University of South Dakota where he retired in 1996. Prior to this position, he worked for Kelly Construction, Larsen Hardware, Aleck Brothers Grocery, Harold Hoover beekeeper, Standard Oil Gas Station and Sunshine Food Stores. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Alcester. Ronald enjoyed working on cars with his dad and racing cars at Marion Raceway. He also devoted many years as a Webelo leader. Ronald is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Teresa (Cal) Carlisle; two grandchildren, Tyler (Nichole) Carlisle and Ryan Carlisle; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Ilyjah; his brother, Arnold; and sister, Deborah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Marilyn Greenhagen; and his brother, Cameron. Read More
