Rogelio Carranco, 83, of Zolfo Springs, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring. He was born in Allende, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on September 5, 1935. He moved to Zolfo Springs over fifty years ago. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church. Mr. Carranco served in the United States Army. He and his wife worked together for many years as barbers, going on to open Carranco & Sons Tire & Muffler in Zolfo Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo Carranco and Rita Leal; wife, Carol; daughter, Ermalinda; brother, Emilio; and sisters, Ernestine Garcia, Rebecca Garza, and Mercedes Garcia. He is survived by three sons, Roger Neece of Kansas, Roy Carranco, Jr. (Veronica) of Zolfo Springs, and Joseph Carranco (Wendy) of Wauchula; and four grandchildren, R. J. and Garrett Carr, and Zachary and Alayna Carranco. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, July 28, 2019 at Robarts Garden Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 9:00 AM with Rev. Scott Waldron officiating. Interment is in Hart Cemetery.
